In the race to get kids to the finish line, let’s not bypass their developmental needs.
I would like to continue having coffee with parents to listen to their concerns and comments about North Valley Academy Charter School. We did this a couple of times last year and it was received with good participation and success. We will meet Monday,September 10 at 8:15 in the faculty lounge. I would hope that this will continue to be an opportunity to talk openly to the principal about the school and the positive educational vision set for the achievement of our students. This is a great opportunity to find out about the administration, faculty, vision, and focus of the school. We welcome any and all parents to this one hour, informal and frank discussion.

NVA GOVERNANCE COUNCIL PREPARES FOR ANOTHER YEAR
The North Valley Governance Council is ready to meet the challenge of a new school year. This collective group of parents, community leaders and a teacher representative helps to drive the mission and vision of the school. The council meets on the second Thursday of each month for its regular meeting at 5:30 pm in the school’s Computer Lab. Regular meetings are open to the public, with public comments at the beginning of each meeting. Come out and support the Governance Council and find out what’s going on at NVA.
THE WEB SITE IS UP AND RUNNING AND BETTER THAN EVER
Thanks to Ms. McConnell and Mr. Godard, our web site is looking primo. It will never be totally complete because it is always a work in progress and changing daily. Please take a look by accessing www.nvanm.org. Mr. Godard and the North Valley Academy Technology committee will keep the site current with information that will help the parents and the community stay connected to our great school.
